Thank you sir for your best wishes. The course was truly full of insightful discussions complemented by guest lectures, simulation game, quick takes and visit to exhibition. They have enriched our knowledge regarding B2B strategies in real world. Hoping your consistent support and blessings in the near future as well.
Moving to the platforms transforming the way agriculture is practiced, it is no surprise that platforms help farmers right from selecting which crop to grow, to helping them where, how and whom to sell. Data plays a huge role in providing customized advice to farmers based on their soil type, weather conditions, temperature and market forces as well. This improves the chances of success for farmers by choosing the best crop that would be resilient even in adverse conditions, choosing the right amount of pesticides and at last, selling the produce at the right price. However, there is also a need to educate farmers regarding these platforms. Setting up awareness programs and representatives, who would go in villages to educate them would help in it. One aspect of Project Saggu Baggu by Telangana Government, along with the World Economic Forum was to deploy such people who would go and educate farmers about using tech in their operations.
Also, the emerging DPI for agriculture, i.e. Agri Stack, will help farmers get more services. By getting access to the farmers data regarding their soil, crop sown, land, etc., private entities could build platforms to provide them credit, equipment, advisory, etc. by tapping into their consumption ecosystem. The Agri Stack Sandbox is the interesting feature of it. It would provide an environment to experiment and provide innovative solutions through collaboration between multiple stakeholders. It will be exciting to see what would be built on the top of it.
Also, I look forward to the visit at Akshayakalpa to see the Digital Transformation taking place in agriculture and enjoying the Buttermilk :)
