A ship that is larger than any canadaian sky scrapper was a blockage for the 400 ships carrying around 10 billion worth goods to move along. Let's just hope that it doesn't happen again and if it does we are ready with a contingency plan.

With greater reliance on large container ships and congested water ways/ports, we might be facing more of these episodes in future. JIT and lean manufacturing has its own disadvantages in current uncertain geo-political environment.

Most of the action in the platform space is in the non-glamorous last mile logistics. Coincidently that is also where maximum value is being created.
